Our Category 5e Patch leads are ETL verified to be Category 5e compliant, and backward compatible with Category 5 standards and systems. They are constructed from stranded 24AWG conductors in 4 pairs of varying lay-lengths sheathed in a heat resistant, UL rated PVC outer jacket to form a highly flexible but resilient lead. They are terminated to AMP RJ45 plugs, and can be supplied with PVC strain-relief boots that also protect the latch tag, and stop the cables from snagging when re-patching. The cables are clearly printed with specification details, and come individually bagged to avoid tangling of stored leads. Various lengths and colours are available. The cables are manufactured to the current Category 5e (enhanced) standards as defined by the EIA/TIA and ISO standards bodies. They are then tested to conform to these standards using swept frequency testing of all critical performance characteristics. The actual performance exceeds the required standard by a considerable margin to ensure there will be sufficient headroom to cater to even the most demanding applications:
