LAN Telephony
We see the NBX 100 system as an excellent alternative to a traditional small-to-medium sized company telephone switch. It offers all the benefits of a modern PABX, but has built-in additional features usually associated with only the biggest (and most expensive) exchanges. Add to that the advantages of integrated telephony and computing applications, and you have moved into the next generation of telephony.
A few highlights:
A PC can operate as a telephone handset.
Add-on software allows automatic call screening of your incoming calls, with details of your caller being picked out of your contacts database and displayed on your PC screen.
Unified Messaging means you can manage voice-mail along with e-mail on your PC.
Multiple sites can be connected together using your data network leased links.
Business 'phone handsets can be powered locally, or through the data cabling from your wiring closet.
