Explanation: This is the maximum load that the equipment will present to the mains supply, expressed in Watts or VA (volt/amps). In some cases the manufacturer's specification for the equipment will provide this figure. Individual PCs for example will nearly always be less than 850VA, and will therefore suit a UPS of 1000VA or less, allowing a little lee-way. If the load exceeds the rating for the UPS it will cause an overload condition and the UPS will not work. |
