What is a UPS?

A UPS, or Uninterruptible Power Supply, is a device for protecting electrical equipment.  It is also sometimes known as a battery backup unit.  UPSs are used to protect many types of electrical equipment, but are often associated with computers.  These are susceptible to sudden losses of power, and are often used to store important, expensive or difficult to reproduce information.  Very large UPS systems are used to protect complete buildings, but the Look-UPS system is designed to help with much smaller requirements; everything for home, home/office, business, server and network use.  If you want more information about how UPSs operate then please use the links below.  Alternatively, click on the back button to return to the Look UPS system which will help you choose a suitable unit.
