The APC Zone UPS Selector

   
 

Click here for a glossary of UPS termsThe Look-UPS system is a series of questions that point you towards a UPS solution to suit your requirement.  However, if you find that the system is not conclusive, or you just want advice, please call to talk to one of our specialists.

Sections:  Each question screen consists of a question, an explanation about the question, two or more selectable answers, and support information regarding each answer.

Navigation Bar:  The buttons on the Navigation Bar can be used to negotiate your way through the system.  Hover over the buttons for more information.

Colour Key:  The key words or phrases in explanation areas are highlighted in pink.  Words for which more information is available are shown in green, and this information will display if you hold your mouse pointer over them.  If the message box disappears after a few seconds, move over CLEAR on the Navigation Bar then back over the green text to display it again.

History:  Once you have answered a question you will proceed to the next screen, and the previous screen will be shown as an icon in a descending list on the left hand side.  You can go back to previous screens by clicking on them on the history.

Solutions:  Once you have completed the series of questions, you will usually be given the choice of browsing through suitable UPSs in our Purchasing Catalogue, or selecting from a set of IDEAS.  The Ideas screens show comparison information about several units, and we recommend that you try this first.

Ultimately, you will need to choose a UPS which has the ability to support your required load and run-time and any functional requirements you may have.  If you are unsure, or would like help, please call us on 0870 444 6544.
