  APC, MGE and Schneider Electric

You may be aware that in 2007 Schneider Electric completed the acquisition of APC.  Schneider Electric were also owners of the MGE brand of UPS equipment.  This represented a major change in the marketplace and created a world leader in the critical power and cooling services arena.  Following this, and as required by the European Commission as a condition of the acquisition, Schneider span off the MGE 'under 10KVA UPS and surge protection' business.  This created a company known as MGE Office Protection Systems (OPS) which was then acquired by Eaton Corporation.

In the meantime, Schneider merged APC and what had been MGE's Large (>10KVA) UPS operation to create APC-MGE.

Here at the APC Zone we have continued to offer the APC-MGE range of UPS and accessory products. We still provide the excellent service and competitive pricing we are renowned for.  So far, the APC website has remained largely intact and the interaction between the APC Zone and APC's site continues to function.

At this stage we do not intend to include products from Eaton's MGE OPS range on our site.  For more information about MGE-OPS, please click here.
