Many browsers, security software suites and add-on programs (such as Google's tool bar) in use today include pop-up blockers. These stop a web page from opening a page in another window or tab, and are designed to stop annoying adverts and other unsolicited information from being displayed. Unfortunately these blockers also stop legitimate windows from being opened, so most blockers include an option to exclude specific sites from having their pop-ups blocked.
The APCzone does not display any adverts or unsolicited content, and the underlying website, 3complete.com, can safely be added to the pop-up blocker exclusion list. If you do not allow pop-ups to operate, a significant part of the site's functionality will be lost.
The APCzone is part of the 3complete site (www.3complete.com), and uses pop-ups to increase the functionality of the system and improve the user's experience. For example when we display the technical information about a product from someone else's website, we are concerned that the user could become lost in that site and not find it easy to get back to the place in the 3complete site they were viewing. So we display this information in another window, and allow the user to flip-flop between the two. Without pop-ups being enabled for the site, these functions will not work.
Adding the 3complete website to the exclusions in your pop-up blocker will depend on the program being used. In Microsoft Internet Explorer V7, where pop ups will be blocked by default, you can add the site by selecting: Tools > Pop-Up Blocker > Pop-Up Blocker Settings then type in www.3complete.com and click on Add and then Close. Or you can select Always allow Pop-Ups from this Site when you click on the security information bar that is displayed when a pop up is blocked.
With Google's tool bar, clicking on the pop-up blocker picture now should allow pop-ups for this site - it should then display as pop-ups allowed.
To test if pop-ups are blocked, click here. You should see a new bright yellow window or tab appear if pop-ups are enabled. If you receive a message saying that a pop-up has been blocked, you can usually click on it for information on how to allow pop-ups on your system.
