When you receive a replacement APC battery, it includes instructions on how to return the old battery for recycling.

 

THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY BE INCORRECT- DO NOT RETURN BATTERIES TO THE STOCKPORT OR QUEENS STREET ADDRESSES.  Instead, please use the address below.   We have reported this anomaly to APC.

 

Please note that APC pay for the recycling but not the shipment costs.  If you have any questions about this, please contact APC technical support on 0800 279 9254.  Alternatively, you may find you have battery disposal/recycling facilities locally.
