EIGHT 10/100 PORTS WITH PoE PLUS ONE 10/100/1000 PORTThis Smart Wireless Controller is designed to provide wired and wireless network support for medium-sized organisations. It contains a management system that allows you to control and configure multiple Wireless Access Points. It uses the 'light' versions of Access Points - WGL102 and WAGL102, and these can be connected to the 10/100 switch ports. They will derive their power from the Power over Ethernet function of these ports, so siting the Light Access Points is easier. In fact the Wireless Switch can help you decide the optimum placement of the Access Points by analysing office layout drawings. By combining wireless and wired network control in a single device, a cost-effective, flexible WAN/LAN network can be created. For a larger requirement, the Wireless Smart Switch can be used just to manage the wireless part of the network, and it can connect to other switches via its 10/100/1000 port. For example, a Wireless Smart Switch could be combined with an FS750T2 Smart Switch and five WGL102 Light Access Points to create a network capable of supporting around forty wired and forty wireless users. It is scalable by adding more Wireless Switches, and can be used to manage wireless networks of up to four hundred users.
